The accreditation process for the First Batch of Chinese Universities approved to participate in the German ASIIN Accreditation was officially initiated in Shanghai on March 15, 2024, by the National Center for Schooling Development Program. Following a rigorous selection process conducted by the Union of Chinese-Application-Oriented Universities on International Cooperation (CUIC) and the German ASIIN Accreditation Association, 15 undergraduate universities across China were selected. This group includes 10 public and 5 private universities. In Guangdong Province, both a public vocational and technical university and a private application-oriented undergraduate university were among those selected.

As the only selected private application-oriented undergraduate university in Guangdong, Guangzhou Huali College nominated its Electrical Engineering and Automation program as the first to undergo accreditation. The college plans to use this as a model to systematically encourage other academic programs to participate in the German ASIIN Accreditation process. This initiative aims to enhance the overall quality of application-oriented undergraduate education and support the high-quality development of the university’s international education.
