Prof. Tamas Dalmay from University of East Anglia visited International School

On December 30, 2024, Professor Tamas Dalmay, Dean of the School of Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA), United Kingdom, visited the International School of Guangzhou Huali College. Professor Shuze Tang, Dean of the International School, warmly received Professor Dalmay in the Meeting Room 4-212, where an international exchange meeting was held. The meeting was also attended by Professor Xuesong Yang, Dr. Wenzhen Mai, Professor Yiping Li, as well as Mr. Aotian Liang and Ms. Yujing Huang from the International School.

Dean Shuze Tang provided the guests with a concise overview of Guangzhou Huali College, highlighting its development history, campus environment, scale, and distinctive academic disciplines. He placed particular emphasis on the International School's unique English teaching platform, diverse international faculty, and collaborative international projects. Dean Tang expressed his hope to establish partnerships with UEA in areas such as mutual credit recognition through "3+1" and "2+2" programs, as well as student exchange initiatives. He proposed that these collaborations could involve the International College's existing English-taught programs or encompass UEA's full range of academic offerings, with a special focus on UEA's strengths in fields such as nursing.

Professor Tamas Dalmay expressed his gratitude to Dean Tang Shuze for the warm reception and provided a brief introduction to the University of East Anglia (UEA), with particular focus on the School of Biological Sciences, where he serves as Dean. He commended Guangzhou Huali College for its spacious and well-maintained campus, distinctive architectural style, and student-centered facilities for learning, living, and sports. He also praised the International School's fully English-medium teaching platform and its accomplishments in fostering international education. Professor Dalmay expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with the International School in biological sciences and other fields, affirming his intention to report back to relevant UEA departments and university leadership to advance comprehensive cooperation between the two institutions.
